Plumbing is the part of a renovation nobody sees and the part that decides the most. Once the tiling is closed, reaching the pipework means undoing finished work. That is why plumbing is a decision to be made while the walls are still open. We carry this out as part of a full renovation. We do not offer it as a standalone plumbing service.

The details that decide the quality
Best done alongside the renovation
Renewing pipework while the walls and floor are already open costs far less and causes far less disruption than doing it later. If you are renewing a bathroom or kitchen, have the plumbing checked at the same time.
Older buildings use different pipe types
Pipe types used in older buildings can corrode over the years. Once the wall is open we look at the actual condition and give you an honest assessment. Where it is sound, we leave it alone.
Nothing is closed up before a pressure test
New pipework has to be tested before it is covered. Skip that step and a leak only shows once the tiling is finished, at which point repairing it means undoing new work.

Frequently asked about plumbing
How is a leak traced?
By reading the signs first, such as damp marks and the behaviour of the meter, so that the area can be narrowed down without opening walls at random. Every wall opened in the wrong place is a separate repair.
Should the whole installation be renewed?
In older buildings a partial repair is often temporary, because another point on a line of the same age tends to fail soon after. If the walls are being opened anyway, full renewal usually makes more sense.
How many coats of waterproofing are applied in a wet room?
Liquid-applied waterproofing is generally used in two coats, laid at right angles to each other. It is carried at least 15 to 20 cm up the wall from the floor, higher in the shower area, with tape at corners and around the drain.
Who makes good the wall afterwards?
We do. Once the repair is complete the plastering and making good are carried out. Where tiles have been removed, replacing them is discussed separately and priced at the survey.
How long does replumbing take?
We do not take this on as a standalone job. It runs as part of a full renovation. Within that, the plumbing element takes 1 to 2 days for a single bathroom or kitchen and 3 to 5 days across a whole flat. Chasing walls, running the pipework and testing are included. Nothing is closed up until the pressure test passes.
How do I know if I have a leak?
Damp patches on a wall or ceiling, blistering paint, an unexplained rise in the water bill and a meter that keeps turning with every tap closed are the typical signs. Where these appear, detection should come before breaking into any wall.
Do you take on plumbing work on its own?
We do. Pipework renewal, leak repair and installation work are carried out without a wider renovation. Surveys in Kemalpasa and the surrounding area are free of charge.
Can I move the kitchen or bathroom to another position?
It depends on whether the services can move with it. Clean water, waste and, above all, the fall on the drain have to work in the new position. Drain fall is the critical constraint and it cannot be achieved in every layout. We assess that clearly at the survey.
