uPVC performs better on thermal insulation and is common in homes. Aluminium allows slimmer frames and wider openings, which is why it is preferred for shopfronts and facades. The decision follows the use and the size of the opening.

After measuring, production usually runs 7 to 10 days. That part sits with the manufacturer. Fitting takes 1 to 2 days in a standard flat. Removal, installation and making good the sills all happen the same day, so the property is never left open for days.

If the frames are sound and the gaskets are in good order, the glazing unit alone can be replaced. It is a common and economical fix for units that have misted up between the panes. Where the frames themselves are worn, glass alone will not deliver what you expect.

Renewing seals on windows that let in draughts or water, adjusting hinges and locking gear on sashes that have dropped or close stiffly, and replacing broken handles and locks are routine jobs.
